Buffalo Run Slots
What would you do if you came face to face with some buffalo? We’re guessing it wouldn’t be the best experience of your life. However, buffalo are present in the Buffalo Run online slot, so we can only hope they might be connected to some prizes. Our review highlights all the best bits of this slot game, so you’ll know what to expect.

What should you know about the Buffalo Run slot?

It’s not the most creative theme we’ve ever found but hang tight – the game delivers in lots of different ways. It’s certainly worth checking out if you get the time.

The game is developed by a lesser-known outfit

GMW may not be familiar to you, but we think that could change as more people discover the perks of trying this and other games from their collection. Their other titles include Super Sevens, 101 Lions, and Amore.

Did they include a demo version?

Yes, so you can check that out if you’re unsure whether to play the real version of the game.

Where does the theme take us?

We’re deep in a remote setting here, with Indians and buffalo running wild, by the look of it. That sets up a nice game for us, especially since the background is detailed and amazing to look at.

More information about the design

This is a dramatic game, backed by some detailed mountains and scrubland behind the reels. You can see more of this to the sides of the reels than you would in other slot games. We like it.

Buffalo Run basic features and symbols

Firstly, this is a five-reel game. Each reel shows you a mix of four icons on every spin. There are three progressive jackpots, each represented by a gem, at the top of those reels. You’d expect the buffalo to play a significant role and it does, coming into action as the wild symbol. Find five of those on an enabled payline and there would be 4,000 credits heading your way.

The game also gives us a bonus symbol, shown as an Indian and netting double your triggering bet for three appearing on the reels. You cannot get more than three as it only appears on the center three reels of the game. It is a scatter, though.

How many paylines can you cover?

This is only revealed when you go into the paytable, as the lines are fixed and not marked on the game itself. The game provides you with 50 lines.

Consider your bets

The starting wager is 50 cents, which places one cent on each payline. Surprisingly, that turns out to be the maximum bet too – an unusual game option that means everyone playing it is going to wager the same amount.

Find the paytable in the bottom left corner

This tells you all the information you would need to know if you wanted to play the game. Buffalo Run has a good paytable, very clear to read, and it consists of several pages.

No Buffalo Run bonus to play

Ah, that’s a shame… just imagine playing a bonus feature in that setting!

There is a chance to win some free spins though

The bonus icon – the scattered Indian – is the way to do this. Just find three of them over reels two, three, and four, and that’s it. You never know how many games you’ll secure, as you might be awarded five, seven, or nine of them. You can retrigger the games regardless of how many you get to start with though.

Unfortunately, you don’t get a multiplier to use in these free games, although the wild buffalo should appear as he does in the base game.

Our rating for the Buffalo Run slot game

This is a solid-enough slot to play, although we would have preferred to see a bonus included as well. The addition of three jackpots – Emerald, Ruby, and Diamond – make things more interesting. They won’t drop during a free game, but they can be won after any paid spin. The good thing about the jackpots is that each one must trigger before it reaches a certain level. We’re going to rate this as 7 out of 10.

Have we heard of any winners?

No, but it seems it won’t take long for the jackpots to drop. Since they work on a maximum level ‘must win’ scenario, you can tell how close each one could be to being won by someone.

Playing the practice version in demo mode

You should decide whether Buffalo Run is going to give you what you want from an enjoyable slot before you get started with some real wagers. Fortunately, the game does allow you to experience it in demo mode first.

Playing the Buffalo Run slot game for real

You must decide whether the single 50-cent per spin bet is going to suit you before you begin. There are no other options here, so could this be too pricey or even too cheap for your tastes?

Buffalo Run slots on mobile

You can try the slot game on your tablet or smartphone if you don’t enjoy sitting at your computer to play. Android devices are fine to use, as are iPads and iPhones using iOS software. Whichever method you choose to try the Buffalo Run slots, we think you’ll appreciate the detailed icons in action on every spin.
